Now under new ownership there is a massive planned redevelopment effort about to take place. The Dallas News is reporting that the Whole Foods located on Coit and Beltline will be relocating to Village on the Parkway along with an AMC Theatre. Its unclear if this is the AMC theatre that is currently located at Valley View Mall.

This development along with the development at Beltline and Prestonwood and the planned redevelopment for Valley View Mall is very good news for the Galleria/North Dallas/Addison area.

The NYLO boutique hotel is coming to Dallas South Side in an old building accross from Southside on Lamar Lofts. The building was used from 1911 to the 50s as a coffin company and later as office space for Sears.

It’s been a long time coming, but a boutique hotel is headed to the South Side/Cedars area of Dallas. NYLO Hotels LLC has announced plans for their third hotel in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, and their first south of Interstate 635. As a matter of fact the five-story, 76 room boutique hotel (called NYLO Dallas South Side) will be in Southern Dallas with a 75215 South Dallas zip code.

This is good news for the Prestonwood area. The spot formally occupied by Studio Movie Grill will be occupied by Look Cinema's. The entire complex will include a Nick & Sam's Grill and Coal Vines restaurant. Take a look at some of the pictures over at D-Magazine.

"It will wipe out all of the obligations to the property after the auction."

If you enjoy electronic musc as much as I do, then this is the place to be!

Nocturnal Wonderland, formerly known as Nocturnal Festival, is a massive electronic music festival that has been steadily growing and brings the biggest names in music and dance to an audience of up to 50,000 musical enthusiasts.

The first Nocturnal Wonderland was held in 1995. In its early years, Insomniac (the production crew responsible for Nocturnal Festival), did not have a steady revenue for this event and the location for the party/event had to change each year. One of its most famous location was in the Coachella Valley Indio Polo grounds. This is the same location where the now famous Coachella Music Festival is held. In 2003 (after one year of Nocturnal Wonderland could not be held because not enough revenue for the event could be generated to secure the event), Nocturnal Wonderland returned to the National Orange Show in San Bernardino after having first taken place at that location in 1998. The Orange Show has been the location of Nocturnal from 2003 to the present except for 2007. During 2007, the event was held in Downtown Los Angeles.

On Labor Day Weekend 2010, Insomniac surprised many fans by introducing Nocturnal Festival Texas held at Apache Pass Fairgrounds in Rockdale, Texas, just outside of Austin. This event became not only the first Nocturnal Festival outside of California, but also the first multi-day Nocturnal being held on September 4th through the 5th.
