Fat Ho Burgers ?

No this is not a joke. Lakita Evans, the owner and operator of Fat Ho Burgers in Waco, TX is getting plenty of customers and attention these days mainly due to the name she chose for her burger joint. On a recent visit to Waco, TX I decided to try out Fat Ho Burgers. I thought it would be cool just to order the Superfly Ho or the Sloppy Ho with brisket. However, when I arrived, one of her employees told me that they had already sold out of hamburgers for the day and that they had sold out every day the past week. After a brief chat with the employee I noticed Lakita was standing outside posing for pictures as various people snapped like paparazzi and others asked for autographs. Most were just trying to get a glimpse of the now famous woman who started Fat Ho Burgers. I asked Lakita about the rumored offers she was receiving to buy her brand and she replied that she wasn't going to sell "unless they offer me Donald Trump money".

Lakita says she worked her way through college and had to sell just about everything to get the money to open her restaurant. She's obviously eating up all of the attention that she's getting with people driving from Dallas and Houston  and who knows where else just to try her Ho burgers. However, even with all the attention, not everyone is excited about the name. Her restaurant block over from the Gospel Cafe and from what I'm told, they are not too happy.

All in all is just a name an for now Lakita eating up her 5 minutes of fame. Lets hope that the burgers taste last longer than the initial hype.
